Milk Jar Cookies

December 9, 2014

It's the Holidays, which means it's the season for cookies. Ditch the pre-made frozen dough for Santa this year and head over to Milk Jar Cookies. After all, doesn’t the big guy deserve the best? Yes, these cookies are some of the best in LA- especially the Chocolate Chip, which is my standard for judging a cookie place, and Milk Jar has a really good one!

The cookie shop looks like something straight out of Pinterest. It has a vintage-rustic-repurposed wood style that The Mrs. loves so much. There’s a long farm table for seating as you enter the shop, and milk jars hang from the ceiling as chandeliers. There’s a true charm to the this place, especially now during the Holidays. It's a perfect place to stop in and enjoy a cup of fresh brewed coffee, or their amazing hot cocoa with marshmallows, and of course, a cookie!

There are about 14 different cookie flavors baked fresh in small batches all throughout the day with variations such as Rocky Road, Banana Split, and Chocolate Pecan Caramel. I don't know how co-owner/baker Courtney Cowan does it, but these cookies are perfectly chewy and taste so good! They're complimented well with a mason jar of ice cold milk from a local dairy.

Whether you're in search of the perfect cookies for someone, or a treat for yourself, make sure you stop by Milk Jar this Holiday season.

Seasonal cookie flavor: Peppermint Bark with a cup of hot chocolate.
