The Best Brunch Drinks in LA

December 6, 2015

There's a reason brunch is only two days a week. Restaurants know that most of us have the day off and we're going to start our day off with a carefree attitude, eating a giant stack of pancakes and bacon, with a mimosa in hand. It's the weekend after all, so why not treat yo' self to the best brunch cocktails in Los Angeles. Here are five places in LA serving the best drinks on weekend mornings.

#INEEDCOFFEE
Love & Salt
317 Manhattan Beach Blvd, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266

The best coffee cocktail you will have in LA! Finally a coffee drink that will appease a coffee snob and a cocktail connoisseur. The appropriately named "#INEEDCOFFEE" at Love & Salt in Manhattan Beach, is made up of bourbon, amaro nomino, cold brew coffee and cream. It's only fitting that this magical concoction was made by master barman Vincenzo Marianella (Copa d'Oro, The Independence).

Grasshopper
Cadet
2518 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90403

A cocktail that tastes like mint chocolate chip ice cream? Yes please! Creme de menthe, creme de cacao, cream and vanilla - fancy sounding ingredients that compose a delicious brunch cocktail at Cadet called Grasshopper.

Bellini
Ford's Filling Station
900 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90015

Ford's Filling Station in DTLA, makes one of the best executed Bellini's in LA. The ingredients are white peach, Giffard creme de peche, and Extra Dry Brut Prosecco. Also worth mentioning the drink pictured next to it in a rocks glass is a New York Sour - Bakers bourbon, lemon, simple syrup and a float of Malbec wine.

Build Your Own Bloody Mary
The Attic
3441 E Broadway, Long Beach, CA 90803

If you're in the LBC, you need to stop by the Attic for brunch at least once in your life. It's an old craftsman house converted into a restaurant serving amazing Southern influenced food with bottomless mimosas and outrageous Bloody Mary's. Probably the best place to take a Bloody Mary fan. You can build your own with combinations of different spirits and garnishes like bacon or a short rib slider.

Punch Bowl
Tart
115 S. Fairfax Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036

Bottomless sounds like a great idea but what about just ordering an entire punch bowl?! At TART they come in different flavors, but our favorite is the Family Punch - a citrus punch that resembles a cross between a mimosa and tequila sunrise. They come in two sizes, but the half (pictured above) is enough to keep four people punch drunk.
